ENDOMETRIOSIS:
OMG EndoFEMM pads are the BEST!! They're not like regular heating pads at all. They're filled with a special material (popcorn I think) and combined with the fleece material that surrounds it, its amazing!!! I always lay in bed with a light blanket over my abdomen with the pad to keep the heat trapped between the blanket and my abdomen. I seriously have 3 of them and I couldn't live without it. Plus, if you play sports or do anything (like, oh I don't know... break my ankle like I did) you can use it as a great source of heat relief for the rest of your body. It's definitely worth the money, and get the straps too so if you're driving you can be sitting up and still have the pad snug against your abdomen. I just wanted to say that I am in LOVE with your pads! I have the traditional one in pink and the other in the polka dot that's on sale so I could have one in the car if I travel anywhere. Well, one day when I was blogging on here I did a quick search for endometriosis heating pads expecting full well to get lists about heat therapy for endometriosis. I was amazed, though, to find a link for the Endofemm heating pad! OMG - this thing is a miracle! For reasons which I will post later, the hysterectomy is being delayed. This means I’m miserable with endometriosis pain. This little pink wonder arrived on my door step right at the nick of time! Let me tell ya guys about this little beauty:

The Reasons I'm in Love with Endofemm

1. It attaches to your waist like a fanny pack leaving BOTH of your hands free to do the things you need to do - dishes, laundry, diapers, whatever!
2. It's soft! My old corn pad was this scratchy muslin. This feels so nice when my hands rest on it.
3. It has these kick stand flaps that mold to your body, even when you sit down! You don’t have to sit there and mush this in place like a stander heating pad.
4. NO CORDS! It's a microwave corn based heating pad so it provides hours of relief with just the occasional 2 minute 30 second pop in the microwave. Nice.
5. I can sleep with it, travel with it, work with it, watch TV with it, play with my kids with it on. Instead of being in the way and something you have to accommodate because of your condition, it fuses with you and comes along for the ride.

I can't wait to put the Endofemm on when I get home from work. I walk in the door, toss off my shoes, and set that microwave a hummin. AND, I've cut back on my every 6-8 hours Ibuprofen/Maximum strength Tylenol combo. I'm very pleased with that since the Ibuprofen does a dance with my stomach.

I would highly recommend this product for all you woman with pelvic pain - even if it’s just period pain. I was spending gobs of money on those thermal patches so I could be free from the heating pad, and now I’m saving some serious green. Check out the website and look into getting you one, too. I recently purchased the lilac EndoFEMM Heating/Cooling Pad with strap to help with my endometriosis. Before I even got it out of the package, it helped me feel better. I travel a lot so the Endo-Lite sounds great. What I like most about the EndoFEMM is the shape. So much of my pain is way down in that hard-to-reach area and I was so frustrated with my homemade rectangular rice pillow and electric heating pad. I wanted to let you know the dreaded came ...I used the pad. They're fabulous! I think they hold heat longer than my "bed buddy" (another one you put in the microwave) and the shape and size much more conducive to being helpful to the lower abdomen! I have found the pad helps ease the pain in a way that popping pain killers hasn't. I have used rice socks before but I dislike the smell of them enough that I couldn't use them on a regular basis. The smell of the corn in the EndoFEMM™ heating pad doesn't bother me at all. I use the pad at different times throughout the day, but I find it most helpful at bedtime. It would be unsafe to plug in a heating pad and use that in bed, but the EndoFEMM™ pad is perfectly safe to use in bed, and I find I naturally move it to the side in my sleep when it is no longer warm. Hey EndoSisters!!! Hi all, sorry it has taken me so long to update this, but here we go on my review. I do recommend this heating pad. It's great for using at home. If you're looking for something to use when at work and on the run I recommend ThermaCare Heat Pads (menstrual and lower back).

The EndoFEMM™ Pad is heated using a microwave and is filled with corn kernels. The pad is formed into 7 different sections that allows the pad to form comfortably to various areas of the body. The pad is covered in a nice, soft fabric. The pad heats up to a great level of heat and holds for a decent amount of time. The pad comes with an optional strap (which I will purchase soon). ~I like the size and shape of the pad (I'm very tiny though); it covers my back, shoulders, and abdomen nicely. No need for constant adjusting if you move around a bit. Very comfortable to have on due to size, weight, and fabric.

~The shape and feel of the pad is fantastic!! It falls right into place wherever I decide to place it; kinda hugs the body. There's no uncomfortable poking from the pad or cord to get tangled in, very comfortable to use.

~When I first used the pad I was surprised by how long it held the heat. When I was searching for a heating pad to use I was leaning towards an electric one so that I wouldn't have to get up and reheat so often, but this pad does well. If using it for a long period of time, you of course will have to reheat it, but the comfort level over the electric option is a welcomed trade off. I've used the gel packs before as well, and find that this pad is much better than the gel packs at holding heat.

*Personal Testimony: I let me grandmother try this when I was visiting recently because she was having some back pain. She couldn't believe how comfortable it was and how well the heat was. I didn't get to use it during my whole stay cause everyone else in the house was grabbing it and tossing their own pads to the side!! I recently purchased one for her.

I have used the EndoFEMM pad over two periods now and found it very effective. The microwaving process is very simple and easy. I was shocked at how long the heat lasts and very pleased that it does not start too hot as a hot water bottle does, and is merely the right heat for a long time - ideal! The pad is fantastically flexible so can be used for many occasions e.g. if a bit of me is just a bit cold like my feet! I have to say that it is a wonderful product. The design is great as it ensures the heat is continuously distributed evenly over the abdomen. PUDENDAL NERVE ENTRAPMENT / PROSTATITIS:
I purchased the Classic Pad for my chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) after living with severe pelvic pain for over four years. I had pudendal nerve entrapment (PNE) surgery three years ago, which reduced my pelvic pain from severe to moderate, but I still had trouble sleeping, even on high doses of Klonopin, Neurontin, Lyrica, Vicodin, Restoril, Ambien and several others. It wasn’t until I started using the Classic Pad between my legs, in contact with the pelvic floor, that I was able to fall asleep before the pain and the false urge to urinate got me out of bed. Now all I need to sleep is a moderate dose of Klonopin and Restoril and the heat from the Classic Pad, which relaxes my pelvic floor muscles. I have a $500 bio-feedback unit that documents this relaxation. Previously I had tried hot water bottles, heating pads, and rice bags and none of them lowered my pain levels to get enough sleep. Compared to all of those, the Classic Pad conforms to the shape of my body better, retains heat significantly longer while transferring the heat more uniformly, and the fleece material is softer on those sensitive skin areas. Your pad helps not only women, but men like me and also male friends who have been diagnosed with chronic non-Bacterial Prostatitis, Prostadynia, Interstitial Cystitis, and Coccydynia -- all conditions that my doctor says are, in the last few years, being recognized in most cases to be neuromuscular disorders in the pelvic floor muscles. VULVODYNIA:
I have been dealing with vulvadynia for over two years now. Even though the pain is not as bad as it was in the begining or has as long of intervals, I still experience a lot of pain from time to time. However, I found that a cold compression could alleviate some of the pain I was going through. However, it was hard to travel in my car or be at work with an ice pack that could leak once the ice cubes turned to water. I was late to work once because the ice pack leaked and got all over my pants. With the EndoFEMM™ product, I no longer have that problem. I can take it with me wherever I go. Plus, I can grab it out of the freezer real quick when I am experiencing great shards of pain. Their is no messing with ice cubes. It is so comfortable that I can even sleep with it on. I would reccomend this the EndoFEMM™ product to any woman dealing with endrometriosis, vulvadynia, or anything of that nature. It has helped me deal with the pain, which can start to wear on anyone after a while. I can now sit at my desk, where I do most of my college work, without feeling irritation and burning while wearing the EndoFEMM™. I no longer feel like an island, dealing with something that no one understands or can help me with.
